Built through the lens of women set on disrupting industry standards and making a name for themselves. Growing up inspired by the work of the likes of Petra Collins and Diablo Cody, conventional standards never interested them. Pulling visual inspirations from various sources such as old Hollywood, classic horror cinema and even pulp magazine covers. They were bred on a captivation for the unconventional. Motivated to define their creative style and vision by forming a studio allowing them to follow these pursuits. In addition to their creative explorations, their vision created a much-needed solution for brands to keep up with social media trends while maintaining a professional output that matched their customer's expectations. In filling this need, they have unlocked substantial new opportunities and continued changing the media and brand photography standard.
They needed a brand that could encapsulate the co-owner's unique personal edge while also demonstrating the high caliber of work they are known for producing in the industry. They've mastered the ability to balance their work in a way that feels young and fresh while also demonstrating a quality far beyond their years. They needed a brand that had the dexterity to do the same.
We carefully curated their brand to match the same duality that they've mastered in their work. We did this by pairing loud expressions with traditional design choices that would give their visuals excitement while providing a sense of balance. We wanted the elements to work together in exhibiting their style and demonstrating their high professional output.
We knew we would be working with bold design choices to get across the company's energy. However, we also knew we needed to put in some checks and balances to help properly direct the eye. We knew we wanted to add a vibrant angel to the color palette, but we didn't want to overwhelm the viewer. So while we did go bold in our color choices, we kept them all within the same analogous color scheme of violet-reds to avoid appearing too busy or distracting. We also ensured the color pallets contained to the visuals rather than bleeding out to the layouts and backgrounds, which would indirectly cheapen their effect. We did something similar when we were considering typography. We decided to go with something simple and classic that would pair well with our visuals but not dominate them. In this case, we chose Helvetica, a classic of all classics. We knew this would complement the mood we were setting without taking away from the visuals designed to be the prominent focus in a company that is so known for its artistry.
